Lima Airport

I forgot how painful long flights were. Zoe was such a sweetheart to give me a ride down the airporter. It is comforting having a friend there when there is uncertainty in your future!
Many thoughts went through my mind, encouraged by the pain in the rear end that the seat had become, including, "WHY was I so excited to do this?" Hopefully that will get sorted out later. But it does not matter how many toys you bring along on a plane ride, eventually all of them get boring. The CD player that Dave lent me came in handy, as did the camera he gave me: I spent quite a bit of time learning both of them.
The 21st century has reached Peru, too. The minute you step off the plane, four charming young women are there to rent you cell phones that you can use during your stay in Peru. I doubt, however, that they work 6 hours upriver from Puerto Maldonado!

Yes, arrived safely Steve and Omar. I´m hopefully going to get upriver tomorrow provided the boat sails as planned. Are you in BKK safely yet?
